The Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in the 20th of November 1989. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), the Child Rights Team implemented the raising awareness campaign 302010 (30 years since the adoption of the CRC, 20/11/1989 the date it was adopted and 10 minutes that someone needs to get informed and support the Proposals of the Team).
The Child Rights Team, after many consultations with experts, pointed out the most significant issues regarding the protection of children in a number of thematic areas, including child sexual abuse, social exclusion, bullying, environmental crisis, domestic violence, gender equality and equality on the basis of sexual orientation, children in migration, racism and the European life.
