Exclusion from education/healthcare/society

1. Every school should have proper facilities accessible to all children with disabilities

2. Better facilities in public and private places for ensuring free access to all children with disabilities (restaurants, pedestrian areas, central squares, museums, hospitals, theaters, public transportation, traffic lights, etc.)

3. Facilities in all urban areas should be improved with the goal to ensure free and unhindered mobility for children with disabilities

4. The State should provide technological equipment (e.g. laptops, smartphones) to all children with visual impairment and school books in the form of podcasts

5. The State should provide additional financial assistance to ensure that children with disabilities will enjoy equal opportunities

6. Parent counseling services should be reintroduced as a mean to properly inform parents on the need to ensure individualized and customized education for their children though proper schools according to their needs

7. Vacancies of doctors in remote areas of the country should be filled in order to ensure that all citizens have access to specialized medical care

Domestic violence/neglect

1. Ensuring support to families with the aim to avoid situations that lead to the neglect of their children

2. The judiciary should remain unbiased in its judgments from any gender or other relevant social stereotype

3. Ensuring better monitoring of cases of domestic violence and neglect

4. Provision of proper support for abusive parents

5. Training of teachers so they can recognize and cope with cases of abused students

6. Development of a protocol of cooperation among all relevant actors ensuring their immediate and effective mobilization in the cases of abused children, their transfer to a hospital and their temporary hospitalization (no more than 48 hours). This protocol aims to ensure the holistic psychological support of the child and his/her direct rehabilitation

Sexual abuse

1. Raising awareness campaigns in order for society to understand that this phenomenon should not be a taboo issue

2. Education society

  • Training of university students-introduction of relevant courses in academic faculties and schools (e.g. medical school, school of Judges, pedagogical schools), with the goal to improve the level of identification and management of the phenomenon in a proper way

  • Training of teachers through social compulsory programs organized on a regular basis with the goal to improve the level of identification and management of cases of sexual abuse

  • Informing parents by turning their attention to the importance of prevention and early identification if something happens to their child

3. Providing proper holistic treatment to children victims in collaboration with prosecutors, psychologists, therapists and educators with the goal to treat the psychological trauma of sexual abuse

4. Providing proper psychological support to adolescent mothers in which the cost will be covered by the State

5. Establishment of a public-run management team that will detect the phenomenon and coordinate all actions and training as well as support and guide the school community in tackling the problem

Bullying

1. Promotion of state initiatives focused on cyberbullying and especially on social media which are part of children's daily life

2. Increasing of the psychological support offered at schools both to the bullied children and to the ones who bully other ones

3. Development of compulsory training both to educators and parents to the issue of bullying

4. Introduction of anonymous complaints of bullying at every school

5. Increasing of team spirit between students especially during PE Subject

6. Combining of the Mediation Teams with the school councils in order to inform more children about the phenomenon

Gender equality and equality among children of different sexual orientation

1. Promoting training for students and citizens through special programs focused on equality issues

2. Ensuring that sex discrimination does not take place in the everyday reality

3. Promotion of girls' sports teams in schools as well as of women sports in general through the support of public and private sponsors

Environmental crisis

1. Introduction of a compulsory course in schools and frequent assessment of the teaching methods and educational results

2. Organization of training and awareness-raising programs targeted at local and municipal communities

3. Strict implementation of relevant measures and laws

4. Replacement of school books with digital resources as a means to reduce the use of paper

5. Need for additional renewable sources of energy

6. Need for an active role from the media with the goal to step up the level of awareness among the general public

Children in migration 

1. Ensuring continuous medical support for all refugee and migrant children regardless of their asylum status

2. Ensuring access for all children to schools and proper 

3. Integration of parents to the labor market according to their professional skills and without any discrimination against them 

4. Faster bureaucratic procedures in the cases of unaccompanied minors who are eligible to reunite with their families in other countries
